Non parliamo solo di cutscene inedite o dialoghi alternativi, ma di vere e proprie sezioni di gioco in momenti separati che, giocate assieme, apporteranno un vero sentore di completezza per chi intraprende l’avventura di Scarlet Nexus. La scelta del personaggio è importante, ed entrambi apporteranno un’esperienza unica ed irripetibile: sebbene ad un certo punto le vicende si intrecceranno, giocarle prima nei panni di Kasane e poi in quelli di Yuito arricchirà notevolmente l’esperienza di gioco. Il giocatore può scegliere se giocare nei panni di uno o dell’altra, ed è qui che la vera forza di Scarlet Nexus esce fuori. Kasane è l’ultima erede di un clan di guerrieri dai poteri incredibili, mentre Yuito è di famiglia nobile. Di indole fortemente volitiva, i due hanno diverse motivazioni per unirsi ai ranghi della FSE. Parliamo di Kasane Randall e Yuito Sumeragi. La FSE è l’unica forza in grado di contrapporsi al potere disarmante degli Estranei, ed è proprio su questo sfondo che si staglia la storia dei due protagonisti. Per tale motivazione, il governo di New Himuka istituisce la FSE (Forza di Soppressione Estranei), una squadra di soldati perfettamente addestrati e dotati di poteri psionici che vanno oltre la mera comunicazione neurale. Il loro scopo è, dunque, sterminare il genere umano e con esso la possibilità di utilizzare il potere comunicativo di cui sopra. Antagonisti per eccellenza a questo nuovo equilibrio sono gli Estranei, creature aliene che cercano di divorare cervelli umani per azzerare il vantaggio che quest’ultimi sono riusciti ad ottenere.
